What an Examination Checklist is Like

Apart from materials, there are other factors that contribute to your exam success. These are specific habits that should be cultivated by student before the exam day and on the exam day.

I could still remember what happened to my colleague who was running his masters 2years ago. He almost failed his first paper because he did not know that the venue has been changed from the conventional venue that he was used to, 3days to his first paper. This error was attributed to his belief that it will always be the same venue. the reason for this change is because a seminar  has already being fixed for the same date at the old venue which cannot be changed because most of the professors have some other seminars to attend within Nigeria and outside Nigeria and this may take four months before they can meet again. So the meeting has to hold by all means and besides the master’s class is the most conducive class to host such caliber of people.

By the time he realized that the venue has being changed, it was almost getting late. As a result, he got nervous as sweat started  rushing out of his body to the extent that he didn’t know when he lost his ID card. To worsen the whole issue, he tried to get through to his colleagues but could not. So, he hurried to the department to ask where the new venue was. However, as luck would have it, he passed his exams by just 3 marks.

To avoid some of the mistakes made by my colleague follow the below exam checklist.

Before the exam day

Check list 1: Check the location of your exam venue.

Check list 2: Make sure you know how long it will take you to get there.

Check list 3: Remember to set your alarm if you have a morning exam.

Check list 5: Check that your pens have enough ink in them. These should be in a CLEAR plastic wallet.

Check list 6: Check that there are no notes written on anything you are taking into the exam. Calculators, if permitted, will be checked by the invigilators, and disciplinary action will normally be taken against anyone found with unauthorized notes.

Check list 7: Take your ID card to ALL exams.

On the exam day

Check list 1: Have something to eat and drink before your exam.

Check list 2: Take pens, pencils, calculator, water and tissues with you. Ensure that all items are held in a CLEAR plastic wallet,

Check list 3: Go to the toilet before your exam.

Check list 4:  Leave your phone at home, or switched off in the bag under your seat.

Check list 5: Allow plenty of time to get to venues. You will NOT be allowed into the exam venue if you arrive later than 30 minutes after the start of the exam, for any reason.

Check list 6: Take your ID card to ALL exams.

Please just follow the easy steps to reduce your stress in the exam hall and increase your chances of passing the exam.

Please post your comment below and I will personally reply them.
