Put Your Mind At Rest

Hello professional students,

“There is a great difference between worry and concern. A worried person sees a problem, and a concerned person solves a problem.”

I remember when I was writing ICAN exam, I set the goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant at age 25. I missed that goal by 6 months. Well, that was not a bad one. To be honest, it was stressful, but the prize was worth the stress.

So, it’s a new year and I believe by now that you have a fixed date when you want to finish your ICAN exam. Do you? If not you have to set one now.
Recently, some of our students have been asking on our support forum when will ICAN release the result for the last diet exam and the response have been that the result will be out second week of January (hopefully). However, I was amazed when a student sent a personal WhatsApp message to me asking me that what are the things he should start doing now that ICAN is yet to release the result.

Here is my response:

You asked the right question and all you need to do is to start preparation for your May 2017 diet. This is best done early. Not only will it take your mind off waiting for the exam results, it will also make sure you don’t have any last minute panics before the next diet begins. You know that it is not all the courses can be done once depending on your busy schedule. P.S. You know worry is the act of thinking about the unknown in a way that you fear. So, please don’t border yourself when ICAN will release the result but plan for the worst that will ever happen.If you pass all the papers that you wrote, what will you do? If you fail, what will you do? This will help you plan ahead and also put you in a better position to prepare for your ICAN May 2017 diet exam.
