As an accountant (Chartered or not) for you to be relevant in the accounting field here are the top 3 Basic Accounting Software skills among others you need to learn for you to be relevant ;
1. SAGE 50
2. MICROSOFT EXCEL
3. QUICKBOOKS
These skills are important because it gives you an edge. Most companies use either of these Softwares or at least one or two of them as a requirement when employing accountants.
Therefore, you must know how to use at least one of these software tools.
So, what this means is that the knowledge of these skills is as important as your academic certificate or professional certificate.
Good knowledge of either of these skills is an added advantage to what you have to offer as an Accountant.
